The time is over when you have to get stuck in the negative spiral of thoughts and behavioral patterns.
Are you aware of what keeps you in this loop?
How powerful it is if you can start giving yourself feedback and advice that really works.
Maybe you recognize, like me, that people around you are starting to give you advice, from a good heart. But it doesn’t arrive.
In one ear and out the other. Or worse, it causes irritation.
And sometimes I catch myself giving someone advice, as if it’s out of my mouth before I even realize it. That’s probably what you recognize too. There is nothing more human than behavior.
Let me make this very clear, you are the one who decides when and how you change. The responsibility lies with you. It’s not because someone wants you to, or because your coach says it’s best. Another movement is whether you are open to change. If you are not open to change, then this series of blogs is not for you as you are guaranteed to be inspired.
In the training for NLP life coaches, one of the things I like to say is: you cannot go faster than the horse. That is, you may see that someone needs a change, and the other person needs to see and feel that too. Asking questions to make someone aware of behavior is one thing you can do as a coach. And if the questions don’t yield any results, then leave it at that. It is not your responsibility that someone starts working on themselves. I trust that everyone has an inner coach/inner wisdom. This can happen with just one question or even just listening.
Creating consciousness is like building a bridge between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. Between head and heart. That is a distance of literally 30cm and can be a journey of a lifetime.
When you set a goal, and you are really determined to achieve it, no matter what you do, you may not achieve what you envision for yourself.
Have you ever asked yourself, when you set a goal, what you get out of it that is even more important than the goal itself? Or how this goal inspires you? Is it even a goal? Or would you rather call it a dream? A desire?
If you can connect with the values behind the goal, you are more likely to achieve the goal or desire and form the bridge between consciousness and subconscious. It’s a first step.
And, it’s nice to have a meaningful conversation with yourself. And to discover what the whisper of your heart is.
And always remember, if it ain’t broke, we’re not going to fix it.
So to change or not to change, that is the question.
NLP makes processes that you enter into with yourself easier, simpler and yet at a deep transformation level and, most importantly, connected from the heart.
